I appreciate this post. It gave me a chance to re-evaluate myself. While I’m not legalistic, I am human. We humans love rules. Of course, my rules are just good common sense. Yours are legalistic. Its mine I have to watch out for.

This has been one of the best books in the Puritan Reading Challenge. It is sad that most “evangelicals” will never hear of Samuel Bolton.

I appreciated how Bolton did not pit duty against delight. The two can and must co-exist for a man to be acting Christianly. What you want is delight in the acts of duty. Refreshing, excellent.
