I thought this little sequence of photos was quite telling of how precious our little son is! In just a few hours, I will be picking Dusti and Nolan up at the airport (I haven’t seen them in a week!), so I am really excited. This past Sunday, Nolan cut his first tooth, and a second one is coming in as well. I am continually blown away by the goodness of God displayed in my wife and son.

This week was officially my first week serving here at Grace Baptist Church, and I am loving every minute of it.  For Memorial Day, I enjoyed the company of about 50 members at a get together which allowed me great opportunities to meet more people. In my spare time, I showcased my ping-pong skills, challenging and defeating all contenders. But seriously, I love my church and cannot wait to raise my family here. The love, prayer, encouragement, and support that we have received already has been overwhelming. We have yet to hear on the offer we made on the house, so technically we will be homeless for a while. :) But in the meantime, God is showering the kindness and hospitality of His people on us in ways we could have never imagined, for which we are especially grateful.

This coming Sunday, I start the first week of teaching on evangelism, and I am really pumped about it. I am thinking about posting some of the stuff here in the future. Depending on my schedule and study time, my blogging will be pulled back some in order that I devote the best of my day in the study of the Word and serving His people. I know you will understand.

Have a fantastic weekend everyone!

  1. It would be a great service if you would post some of your evangelism material on your blog. I look forward to it.

    Love the photos!

  2. Yes Timmy – Please do post your evangelism material. This will take the pressure off of you in terms of future posts and will give your readers something profitable to graze on.

What a kid you have. Such great expressions. I was half tempted to come up with clever captions for each shot. Prize to the best caption? – More free books? tee hee.

Take Care and Blessing to You,
    D.L.

  3. Especially the second picture – dang- raised left eyebrow and everything. Did he get that from dad or mom?

  4. Teaching on evangelism?

But, doesn’t “everyone” know that Calvinists don’t do that?

  5. What an encouragement it is to read of the way God is blessing you and your family. May our Lord continue to overwhelm you.

  6. Timmy,

What a handsome little guy! Loved the pics.

Glad you’re settling into the church and enjoying your role. I look forward to your posts on evangelism! In Christ,

    -Phil

  7. Guys,

Thanks a lot. Being here at GBC and surrounded by such godly, gracious people has been truly refreshing. There is a love for the church, a commitment to the gospel, and a desire to serve others that is tangible and very attractive. I am honored to be able to serve and partner with such brothers and sisters in gospel ministry.

    D.L.,

The funny thing is that neither of us can do that raised eyebrow thing. I thought that picture was just hilarious! Thanks for continuing to remember my family in your prayers.

    All,

I will try to put some of my stuff in blogpost format soon. Thank you for the encouragement and warm regards, and I pray that the discussions will be fruitful and engaging in the days to come.

    Grace and peace.

Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your blogg. I was dissappointed that you had already left Louisville before I got there for Zach’s graduation. It’s Sunday morning, now I’ll be praying for you and your teaching on evangelism. With summer camp starting tomorrow, Sundays will probably be the only time I’ll have read your stuff. I’ve had some questions about some of the things but I have Zack and Nathan to enlighten me.

  9. Timmy!

You’ve moved?! Wow, just the other evening at UPS by your (now old) work area, I was thinking that I would stop by and tell you that I would be leaving Louisville to go Pastor a Church in Eastern, KY.

Funny, you were already gone for the same reasons.

    May the Lord bless you.

  10. Kelly,

So did you go by the old Gray Brown 1? I really enjoyed our time of meeting and hanging out there at UPS (and at the cafeteria). I am excited about your new position in Eastern Kentucky. Are you going to be in the Appalachia area? Man, one thing I miss the most is hills and mountains. Everything is flat!

Please do keep in touch brother. Grace and peace.

    Timmy
