I know that when I was at Southern I got really annoyed at the number of my fellow students who had absolutely zero interaction with non-believers and all of their opinions about those who don’t know Christ were totally hypothetical.

I hear you brother. I have often wondered that, if SBTS wants to make anything an academic requirement, they should make it that we spend a percentage of our lives outside the seminary bubble.

Sorry I missed you at your wedding man! I loved the pics, BTW. Tell Rocky I said hello!

Excellent post!

And you're right, it is not easy work but rewarding if we stay faithful. It was encouraging to witness through this series the baptism of your friend Dan. The providence of God in our work extends far beyond supplying our financial and physical needs.

Thankfully, sanctification is an ongoing process and we do not have to be a perfect model of this. However, your words have encouraged me to keep my hand on the plow----even though my workplace is within my home!

May we all persevere for His glory!

You've given us a lot to chew on here, but it's all very practical. Great post. I love the idea of keeping journal entries on different coworkers, simply because I am a forgettful person who is always refering back to books or notes to remember things.

Like Zach, I love this:

"The work of the lips in gospel proclamation is last for a reason. It is very hard to be effective here if you are not faithful in the first three mentioned above."
