Hi

I am interested in the possible family connection as my family lived in the Great Yarmouth area and were supporters of Cromwell, Miles Corbett and Edward Owner.

Do you know anything about Jeremiah's family? Parents, siblings, nieces and nephews?

I would be very interested to find out more.

Thanks.

Steven,

I know very few Muslims at UPS--more Hindus than M uslims, but majority are atheists or clueless.

One place you should certainly check out is the Americana Community Center. It's a place where you can volunteer and meet many Muslims. Something like 70 languages are spoken there.

I've got some friends specifically trying to reach Muslims in our city, and it would be great if you could get in contact with them (I don't have their info at this time).

Off topic inquiry: I'm a future Southern student, doing an M.Div International Church Planting, and will be moving up in May. I have a calling on my life to minister to people from an Islamic background, are these many people from that background working at UPS? If not any idea where they would be? You can feel free to email me.

"A gracious heart is contented by the melting of his will and desires into God's will and desires; by this means he gets contentment. This too is a mystery to a carnal heart. It is not by having his own desires satisfied, but by melting his will and desires into God's will. So that, in one sense, he comes to have his desires satisifed though he does not obtain the things that he desired before; still he comes to be satisfied with this, because he makes his will to be at one with God's will." Chapter two

We are all headed into a very wonderful month of April! There is such a contrast between what the world has "taught us" and our children (regarding contentment and happiness) and what the Word of God teaches us.

Lord, give me a gracious heart!

Hey,

Thanks so much for this post! Burroughs is one of my favorite theologians. I think Irenicum should be required reading for pastors and seminarians, and The Rare Jewel is one of the top 5 most influential books in my life. It gave me great joy in a time of great frustration. I am now reading, "Hope." Thanks for highlighting such a worthy Puritan!
