Timmy, your words are wonderful.

Something was brought to my attention relatively recently. Something I’ve glossed over for years, and something you noted by use of your emphasis:

Joseph doesn’t say: “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God USED it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.”

He says “… God MEANT it for good.”

This leaves me bewildered, but at the same time it comforts me beyond measure.

Thanks for your wise and compassionate words. This is the second best thing that I have read today (but only second because I have already spent time in the Word!)

As we read Flavel this month I am constantly reminded of the nature of God’s Providence weaving the varied strands of our lives into a tapestry for His glory and our benefit. He truly does all things well, even as He commands the wind and the waves.
