DV, We’re doing this at Cornerstone Community Church in Jackson, TN, on Sat. Dec 8 right after our Church family Thanksgiving Banquet. Come join us! Dr. Ware’s daughter is sing with us.
Instead of listening to this song as a worshiper of Jesus, I thought I’d try again as the doctrinal policeman. Upon further examination, I have come to find this song a beautiful picture of God’s people in the OT longing for the deliverance the coming Messiah would bring. I would say, however, there was some minor chords that might cause some concern.
Look it. I know that Derek says some things that are questionable, but he is no heretic nor poster boy for Emergent. People can listen to Webb’s music with as much discernment as they do your comment and determine if there be any substance or warrant for its justification.

Derek Webb seems to have emergent blood in him. You may want to reconsider pointing people to his stuff.
