How timely. Tricia and I have talked about adopting a Deaf child after we are finished having kids naturally. It would be interesting to see if they have Deaf children in need of a home.

How timely for this topic. We just got the call yesterday. Lord willing we pick up our first little blessing tomorrow! It certainly has proven to be a testimony to God's providential timing. We had the opportunity to keep our nephew for the summer which we were a little nervous about since awaiting adoptive parents never know when they will be chosen. However, we wanted to do keep our nephew for the opportunity to witness to him so we committed to keep him. As it turned out our nephew was to fly back tomorrow so we were able to arrange for him to go back one day earlier and to top that off, the baby arrived two weeks early which would have caught us right in the midst of a planned long road trip to visit distant family. We're rushed to get ready but it couldn't have been better timing. What an Awesome God we serve!

I just recently became familiar with Mr. Cruver and his work by way of another blog. As an adoptive mother of two beautiful Siberian Princesses (ages 12 and 9 at adoption) I have been delighted to see this Christian brother working to "marry" theology and practice in the area of adoption!!! Preparing for adoption and now living it out has been a tremendous daily reminder of what God does for his children. Even sweeter, is the reality and illustration of God adopting one (so far) of our daughters into His family! Though my husband and I weren't present for her first birth, we are delighted that God allowed us to be present for her "re-birth". It has been an amazing thing to watch God knit our hearts together and watch Him grow each one of us in so many ways! Blessings to you for hightlighting Mr. Cruver's work, and many blessings to Mr. Cruver as God uses Him for His glory!
