Jr.

“For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wondrous are your works; my soul knows it well.
My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there were none of them.”
Psalm 139:13-16

    Congratulations! We’re so excited for you guys! We had our ultrasound just about two weeks ago and it was incredible. And ours is a girl. I think our little girl and your little boy need to hook up, what do you think?

    And the pics of Louisville make us miss you guys, too. We’re having a great time here in Florida, but wish we could see you all soon. We hope Dusti can make the shower that Danielle will be having in August (invites are going out soon).

    Take care!

    Craig and Danielle

  2. awesome photo – I got your text message. Here is my name recommendation in case I haven;t told you:

    Moses Jonah

    which could be shortened …

  3. Craig,

    Great to hear from you guys! Life in South Florida must be difficult these days. ;)

    About the hook up, I think we need to leave that to Danielle and Dusti.

    BTW, I still need to get the pics of your party to you guys. Perhaps when you guys are back in town I can get them to you. We are looking forward to seeing you again!

    Your favorite jenga competition,

    Timmy

  4. Tony,

    MoJo?

    Uh, that’s got to be child abuse or something. I did tease Dusti with Mephibosheth. I don’t think you can short that, however.

    There’s nothing like seeing the pictures of your baby for the first time. Very excited for you guys. Nolan is a good name. Although Mephibosheth could be shortened to work.

    How can anyone deny the existence of an all-powerful and loving God after seeing images like these?

  9. Thanks so much for the encouragements and comments.

    FWIW, Nolan is my middle name and my grandfather’s first name. it’s etymology is Gaelic and means “champion.” My grandfather was a giant in our family who recently passed away a couple of years ago. I was privileged to eulogize him which was not hard to do. He faithfully served the Lord and God’s people for over six decades as a minister of the gospel (a graduate of SBTS as well).

    We are praying for our son’s salvation, that his life would bring God glory.

  10. I always urge expectant parents to BE MINDFUL when it comes to naming their children. I’m thinking any kids that God is pleased to give me will have short, anglo names. My name has been remarkably resistant to contraction, as “Gui” (Guy) is my uncle’s name. I also think I’m going to go for names that sound different from each other when shouted at the top of my lungs.
